Usage & Pricing

Overview

The "PayForUser" feature allows developers or organizations to cover the costs associated with an application or utilize user data in a flexible and manageable way. With this feature, individual users can also define specific quotas for a given application. This means that a user can set limits on the amount of resources—such as storage, bandwidth, or other services—that an application can access, ensuring better control over usage and associated costs. This empowers users to manage their own budgets effectively, while developers can build applications that adapt to various usage levels. It's can be configured from the application settings.

Pricing

Our service offers several pricing plans designed to suit different needs, from individual developers to large-scale enterprises. The plans are organized by the number of active users, storage limits, and bandwidth allowance.

Storage

Our service offers three main storage tiers:

  • Lite Storage: Perf-effective option for small data.
  • Standard S3 Storage: Standard storage available for frequently accessed data.
  • Cold S3 Storage: Archival storage for long-term retention of infrequently accessed data, at a reduced cost. It's can take many days to retreive the data.
Storage TierStorage Price/GB
Lite Storage€0.05
Standard S3 Storage€0.05
Cold S3 Storage€0.02

When users delete files, these files remain counted toward the storage total as long as they are archived rather than permanently deleted. Files that are moved to archival storage are still considered as part of the user’s total storage consumption until they are fully deleted from the system.

Storage Tier Transition Table

The following table shows permissible transitions between storage classes:

From/ToLiteS3Cold
LiteOKOK
S3OKOK
ColdOK

Transitioning from one storage class to another may incur costs. These charges are determined by the storage class being moved into and the data volume involved. It’s important to review these costs when considering a change in storage class, especially for high-volume transitions that could increase monthly expenses.

Bandwidth

Each plan includes a base amount of bandwidth, with additional bandwidth usage billed per GB. Bandwidth usage is measured in the same way for both upload and download data transfer. This means that both incoming and outgoing data counts toward your bandwidth allocation.

It's billed consistently across all storage classes, meaning that data transfer costs are the same whether data is accessed from Lite Storage, Standard S3 Storage, or Cold S3 Storage. Regardless of the storage class, both upload (ingress) and download (egress) bandwidth usage is measured and charged at a uniform rate per GB. This standardized billing approach simplifies cost calculations and ensures predictable bandwidth expenses, regardless of where the data is stored or how frequently it's accessed.

When a file is accessed for reading or writing, it is temporarily stored in the cache until the browser is refreshed. This caching mechanism optimizes bandwidth usage, particularly in cases where the same file is accessed multiple times. By keeping the file readily available in the cache, the system reduces the need to repeatedly download or upload the data, this minimizing redundant data transfers and improving performance for frequently accessed files. This approach helps to streamline operations, ensuring efficient bandwidth usage and a smoother user experience.

Users

Each pricing plan includes a predefined number of active users, with the option to add more users at a per-user rate. An active user is defined as any user who has logged in within the 30 days leading up to the billing date. This approach helps organizations maintain clear control over active usage costs while planning for growth or seasonal fluctuations in user numbers.

Developers

Plans are designed to accommodate varying team sizes. Each plan includes a certain number of developers, with additional developer seats available at a specific rate. The Free and Solo plans offer limited access to just one developer, while other plans support larger teams, enabling collaboration and feature management at scale.

Support Levels

Each plan comes with a different level of support to cater to a variety of needs. All plans offer email-based support, while Pro and Premium plans include priority support for faster response times. Enterprise customers benefit from dedicated support tailored to their unique needs, which includes personalized guidance for more complex projects or issues.

Managing Spending Limits

As an application developer, you have the option to set limits on spending to ensure that your costs do not exceed a predefined budget. This feature allows you to cap your spending on various resources—such as storage, bandwidth, or additional user costs—thus preventing unplanned expenses. By setting spending caps, you can maintain better control over the monthly budget associated with your application’s operations, making resource allocation more predictable and manageable.

Usage Example

Below are examples of potential billing scenarios across various plans, highlighting how different usage patterns—such as storage, bandwidth, active users, and developers—can impact monthly costs.

Example 1: Solo Plan with Moderate Usage

Plan: Solo
Base Cost: €10/month
Usage Details:

  • Storage: 120 GB (20 GB above the included 100 GB)
  • Bandwidth: 150 GB (50 GB above the included 100 GB)
  • Active Users: 1200 (200 users over the included 1000)

Cost Calculation:

  • Storage Overuse: 20 GB × €0.01 = €0.20
  • Bandwidth Overuse: 50 GB × €0.05 = €2.50
  • Additional Users: 200 × €0.02 = €4.00

Total Monthly Cost: €10 (base) + €0.20 + €2.50 + €4.00 = €16.70

Example 2: Pro Plan with High User Growth and Storage Needs

Plan: Pro
Base Cost: €250/month
Usage Details:

  • Storage: 1.2 TB (200 GB above the included 1 TB)
  • Bandwidth: 1.2 TB (200 GB above the included 1 TB)
  • Active Users: 2200 (200 users over the included 2000)

Cost Calculation:

  • Storage Overuse: 200 GB × €0.01 = €2.00
  • Bandwidth Overuse: 200 GB × €0.05 = €10.00
  • Additional Users: 200 × €0.02 = €4.00

Total Monthly Cost: €250 (base) + €2.00 + €10.00 + €4.00 = €266.00

Example 3: Premium Plan with Heavy Bandwidth and Developer Access Needs

Plan: Premium
Base Cost: €1999/month
Usage Details:

  • Storage: 8 TB (within included limit)
  • Bandwidth: 10 TB (2 TB above the included 8 TB)
  • Active Users: 48,000 (within the included 50,000)
  • Developers: 15 (5 developers above the included 10)

Cost Calculation:

  • Extra Bandwidth: 2 TB × €0.05/GB = €102.40
  • Additional Developers: 5 × €5 = €25.00

Total Monthly Cost: €1999 (base) + €102.40 + €25.00 = €2126.40

These examples demonstrate how different usage combinations influence monthly expenses, helping customers anticipate and manage their budgets effectively based on specific needs.
